When starting out, I had so many different host options to go with. Initially I chose BlueHost, cheap, cheerful and they seemed quite popular at the time. Well, a year down the line and it was time to renew my plan, I couldn’t wait for a change. I am not going to slate BlueHost totally but, lets just say my site runs a lot more reliably now.

So, the year came to an end and I was recommended SiteGround (this is an affiliate link) by one of our fellow entrepreneurs. She couldn’t rate them enough and wasn’t an affiliate at the time so, had no incentive to sell their services. I did a little more research and decided to transfer on over. Im so glad I did! Below I have put together a list of Pro’s and Con’s to SiteGround as well a walk through on joining.

Pros

  • SiteGround supports WordPress making it even easier to develop your ideal business/ blogging platform.
  • Worried about the price? With plans from £2.75 per month, you can’t really go wrong!
  • Their support area is next to none. What is worse than your website appearing with and error, struggling to transfer or it suddenly slowing down to snails pace? Nothing. Should you encounter a problem, their support team are on hand 24/7 to get your site back on track. This is a huge positive in the web world!
  • They have numerous positive reviews. As I mentioned earlier, I thoroughly did my research and came to the conclusion that SiteGround are by far one of the most popular hosting companies, which speaks for its self really.
  • Speed and site performance are two huge pros for SiteGround and a real selling point giving people the confidence that they will have a reliable and user friendly website.
  • In need of some extra cash and can confidently say SiteGround are fabulous for website hosting? Then check out their affiliate plan.

Cons

  • Storage, although this was clutching at straws. Each plan comes with different storage amounts. At current, I don’t have the need for anything above the very basic plan (bonus) but, other hosting companies do provide a little more in their basic plan. However, this is a problem that I am yet to face and don’t see myself facing any time soon.

ARE YOU READY TO JOIN ASWELL?

1. Choose your hosting plan

SiteGround has three plans and one can sign for any of them with a great discount through your affiliate link.

It is also good to make a recommendation for the most appropriate plan to your audience:

The StartUp plan is perfect for people with one website that are starting now

The GrowBig plan is a great value for money offer, including the option for multiple websites and the SuperCacher that greatly improves a WordPress and Joomla website speed

The GoGeek plan is perfect for people with e-commerce and larger sites, or more geeky development needs like staging and GIT integration

Step 2. Choosing Domain

Clients can choose to buy a new domain, or sign up with an existing domain. This is a good place to emphasize the free website transfer that is included in the SiteGround hosting service.

Step 3. Review and Complete

Unlike many other hosting providers our advertised discount applies to any of the initial periods chosen during the sign up process. Being able to get the low price for the one year period is a fact that increases conversions greatly in comparison to other providers where the lowest monthly price applies only for the longest period. So highlighting this fact may strongly increase your conversions.
